We are now in Monaco - amazing place. Just across the border from Italy right on the Mediterranean. There are palm trees, lush plants, fancy buildings, huge yachts and fancy cars everwhere. It's really, really nice. Our hotel at the Monte Carlo is really nice and we are spoiled. We just had dinner on the roof top garden in celebration of our 5th Anniversary. The overnight train from Rome was quite interesting. We had reserved one room with two beds and it wasn't what we were given, instead two rooms side, by side. One was a girls room and one was a boys room - both with 3 beds. After looking at the cabins and deciding that it would be too clausterphobic for me, I told the director I wanted just a seat in a regular car - he upgraded us to a first class cabin with only two beds and it was a lot better. After some gravol we managed to get some sleep - quite the experience. Tomorrow we take a later train to Paris, where we will have our longest stay - 3 nights. This will be a nice change of pace, to stay somewhere for longer than a day or two.
